National Competition on PhD Presentation

The Event

The Higher Education Commission is organising the second edition of the National Competition on PhD Presentation. As a PhD student, this is an opportunity for you to present your research within a timeframe of 3 minutes in a concise and simple manner to a lay audience.

The competition will take place in two phases: preliminary rounds followed by the finals.

The eligibility criteria for participation in the Competition is posted under Documentations and Guidelines. In case you satisfy same, we invite you to register and submit an abstract, of not more than 500 words of the research undertaken towards your PhD thesis including, amongst others, the title, objectives, methodology and the results/outcomes (if any) of the research.

Through this contest, participants will be able to enhance their presentation and research communication skills and win interesting prizes. All finalists will be granted a Certificate of Distinguished Presenter and a medallion. The HEC will organise training sessions to enable participants to present their works in the best possible manner. Information regarding the training will be posted on the HEC website and communicated to participants who qualify for the competition.

The closing date for submission of abstract is 16 March 2020.
